Music

Swedish and International projects using choral music and theatre to bring children and adults together in order to overcome cultural and social differences.

Carpe Vitam is an enthusiastic supporter of culture and music and has initiated projects and musical foundations such as Eric Ericson International Choral Center, Aswatuna which is organising choral activities in the Middle-East to enhance cultural heritage, Hayâtuna which is a Swedish-Middle-Eastern project that aims to create a platform for competence and capacity building and social development in the Levant by using music as a tool, Little Academy,  a music school in Stockholm for children between 6 and 18, with 30 nationalities among teachers and children as well as a network of social entrepreneurs in South America, the Middle-East and South-Africa, Indonesia and Central Europe, using choral singing and music to engage and train street children and young people.

The mission is to inspire young people through music and to develop their talents and find a belonging of common interest. The consequence has proven to be that children develop their social responsibility based upon values of respect, tolerance and a team-spirit helping them to grow as individuals. Skeppsholmen International Choral and Cultural Center will be the centre of the Carpe Vitam musical project and is working under the patronage of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden.
